Aman names global sales chief

SINGAPORE, 20 November 2019: Aman has named Greg Ward head of global sales and distribution ahead of group’s opening Aman New York in 2020.

With over 25 years of experience in hospitality, retail and private aviation, Ward joins Aman from Shangri-La Group where he was vice president of sales.

He will oversee all sales activities across the portfolio and key source markets, as well as managing the global sales team of Aman representatives.

The group currently comprises of 32 properties in 21 destinations, including the recently opened Aman Kyoto and the upcoming Aman New York in 2020.

In the past, Ward has worked for various luxury brands such as Royal Demeure Hotels, Resorts and Residences, Royal Demeure Aviation and jewellery company Niquesa.

He has also previously held sales and marketing positions at Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Aman was founded in 1988 with its first property Amanpuri opening in Phuket, Thailand. Since then, Aman has grown to encompass 34* hotels and resorts in 21 destinations worldwide.
