NokScoot flies to Sapporo

BANGKOK, 31 October 2019: NokScoot set another milestone with its inaugural flight from Bangkok (DMK) to Chitose (CTS) last Sunday, making Sapporo, Hokkaido, NokScoot’s third Japan destination.

The Bangkok – Chitose service is served by a Boeing 777-200 wide-body aircraft configured with 24 ScootPlus (premium economy), and 391 Economy class seats.

“We are delighted to continue expanding our network in Japan. According to Japan’s latest tourism statistics, Thai travellers visiting Japan increased by over 600%  over the last decade.

Sapporo is one of the top five destinations in Japan with a 15% share of Thai travellers to Japan.

The addition of Sapporo gives the airline three destination in Japan complimenting Osaka and Tokyo.

“We invite our customers to experience Sapporo, home to the snow festival at an unbeatable price on our spacious wide-body Boeing 777-200″, said NokScoot Airlines chief executive officer, Yodchai Sudhidhanakul.

Sapporo is situated on Hokkaido island and is home to the famous snow festival, ski slopes, winter sports, speciality beers and local delicacies such as Hokkaido crab or kani and grilled corn with butter.
