PHUKET, 6 September 2019: The 26th edition of the Laguna Phuket Triathlon will be hosted on the southern Thailand holiday island 23 to 24 November at the Laguna Phuket resort complex.
The race distance of 1.8K swim, 50K bike and 12K run attracts a varied field of athletes, world champions, elite pro triathletes and beginners.
Prize money of up to USD 20,000 is up for grabs.
The event also features “25 For 25 Sprint” a short-distance category (0.5K swim, 18.5K bike and 6K run), which was launched in 2018 in celebration of LPT’s 25th anniversary.
The LPT Charity Fun Run (2K Kids Run, 5K & 10K Charity Run) will take place on the afternoon Saturday 23 November before the main triathlon race on Sunday 24 November.
Last year’s charity run raised more than THB250,000 for the Children First Fund (CFF) in support of more than 400 children living at seven orphanages in Phuket.
Registration for the 26th Laguna Phuket Triathlon remains open until 17 November.
