Vietjet’s early bird Lunar fares

-

SINGAPORE, 19 August 2019: Vietjet is giving away tickets for routes within Vietnam from September this year to the end of the 2020 Lunar New Year travel season.

The Lunar New Year or Tet Festival in Vietnam starts 25 January 2020 and is the country’s biggest national holiday lasting from seven to nine days.

It claims to be offloading 1 million tickets for free domestic travel, but travellers must book the tickets by 22 August. The base fare is free, but fees and taxes still need to be paid.

The zero fares* are valid for travel departing from northern and central region cities to destination in southern Vietnam.

The travel period runs from 5 September 2019 to 28 March 2020, which includes the Lunar holiday week late January to early February.

For travellers booking domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City in the opposite direction, promotional tickets to Vietnam’s central regions such as Hue and Danang are available from USD$11 (*). Tickets to the northern regions such as Hanoi and Hai Phong are available from USD$53 (*).

Tickets for this particular promotion are available for purchase from 15 August onwards and are valid for travel between 9 January 2020 to 10 February 2020 (**).

Cheap tickets for travel up until the Lunar New Year season are also valid from Singapore to Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City.  Deals are on offer on routes between Vietnam and Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia (Bali).

The fares can be booked directly on the airline’s website or on the airline’s mobile app.
