India is famous for its diverse and colourful culture including a myriad of religions, incredible cuisine and iconic tourist attractions.

Boasting some of the world’s most majestic landscapes, India attracts many tourists each year coming to visit its historical sites. Pilgrims from all over the world also visit India to experience sites such as Bodh Gaya, where Gautama Buddha is said to have obtained enlightenment.

Similarly, Vietnam is also home to many UNESCO World Heritage sites that attract tourists to visit every year. The capital city of Hanoi is a cultural and historical hotspot, while Ho Chi Minh City offers a modern destination as the country’s largest economic and financial hub.

With the new direct flights between New Delhi and the two Vietnamese cities, the flight time will be around five hours per leg, considerably shorter than the what is currently available.  The services should encourage trade and tourism opportunities and boost two-way tourism.
