Travel planners meet in Kazakhstan

BANGKOK, 27 August 2019: With just three weeks to go,  PATA Travel Mart 2019 will welcome 220 tour operators and 250 travel content providers from 60 nations.

Hosted 18 to 20 September at the Kazakhstan Korme Exhibition Centre in Nur-Sultan (Astana),  the PTM will bring together global travel content and qualified on and off-line tour operators for face-to-face meetings.

Led by Europe and South Asia, more than 220 travel buyers have already registered across 46 destinations.

PATA provides details of some of the 220 buyers attending this year’s PTM.

Ameriasa Tours offers holidays to more than 100 destinations across six continents from its headquarters in Malaysia.

GetAboutAsia, a company backed by Intrepid Group, provides personalised and authentic travel throughout Asia for independent adventurers.

Hays Travel, one of the UK’s largest independent travel agents, has an annual turnover of more than UKP1 billion.

Hudson & Parker has a broad portfolio of cruises, group travel, wellness vacations, ski trips, and wildlife experiences to 128 cities in 42 different countries.

Nanjing Tuniu International Travel Service, a leading online leisure travel company in China, offers a wide variety of packaged tours, including organised and self-guided tours, as well as travel-related services for leisure travellers through its website and mobile platform.

Beijing Spring Travel Service is considered one of China’s largest private travel services with more than 4,000 employees and offices in numerous major cities across the globe.

Sellers worth seeing

The event has also attracted more than 250 sellers from 32 destinations, who will be showcasing products and services from fine-dining experiences and ‘photo-vacations’ in Japan to heritage tours in China.

Thailand’s Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) will promote local experiences in Thailand mainly community-based content from Chiang Mai, Krabi and Nan provinces.

Eco Team Pvt Ltd pioneers eco and adventure tourism in Sri Lanka, and will showcase nature and wildlife experiences and adventure tours.

Premium Travel Mongolia, a 100% Mongolian owned travel boutique run by an all-women team with 45 years of experience in the tourism industry, will promote tailor-made package tours for those looking to explore Mongolia particularly those interested in photography tours.

The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in India will showcase Pithoragarh, a lesser-known tourist destination that is emerging as a favourite destination for paragliding and other adventure activities. While in Uttarakhand, adventure tourists can also go skiing in Auli or white water rafting and trekking in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also a well-known destination for yoga and wellness in India, popularly known as the ‘Yoga capital of World’.

For those interested in exploring Kazakhstan and Central Asia, SkyWay LTD will also be exhibiting at PATA Travel Mart 2019.

SkyWay offers a full range of tourism services all around Kazakhstan and Central Asia, including historical tours, eco-tours, gastronomic tours, and adventure tours, as well as city tours in Nur-Sultan and Almaty.

In addition to the two business days, a Travolution Forum Asia and Content Marketing Forum will take place on the sidelines of the PTM 18 September.

PATA Travel Mart will be hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Tourism National Company. Air Astana is the official carrier for the event.
