Mayflower expands business with GSA deal

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 August 2019: Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, a specialist in guided holidays has appointed Malaysia’s Mayflower Holidays as its exclusive general sales agent in Malaysia.

The GSA agreement is effective 1 September with Mayflower responsible for the sales and marketing as well as reservations and operations for both B2B and B2C markets in Malaysia.

Mayflower Group is a leading travel specialist in Malaysia having a 60-year track record catering for both leisure and corporate clients.

The company also owns a travel portal www.mayflower.com.my. The online portal allows users to book air tickets, accommodation, and transportation.  It also bundles packages online and offers a B2B service that travel agencies can access via their online platform.

In business for 40 years, Insight Vacations has a collection of 130 premium itineraries that showcase the most outstanding destinations in Europe and North America. 

Luxury Gold’s worldwide collection offers both guided and independent trips. It signature products are luxury escorted journeys to Europe, Africa, North & South America, Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand.

Mayflower Group chief executive officer, Ten Hoy Chin,  said the appointment of Mayflower Holidays marked another milestone for the group.

“We are pleased with this appointment, and we look forward to strengthening this partnership in the years ahead to forge win-win collaborations. We will promote the Insight Vacation & Luxury Gold products at all our distribution channel be it B2C via online and B2B network.

Currently, the group’s wholesale department serves more than 500 travel agents worldwide.

Mayflower Holidays first project will be to represent the two tour brands during the upcoming Matta Travel Fair at Putra World Trade Centre from 6 to 8 September.

Following the show, it will embark on a series of B2B product launches and roadshows in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Kota Kinabalu to promote sales.

“We will offer substantial discounts to consumers during the MATTA Travel Fair and competitive fares from selected airlines to ensure that our customers have the best deals for their holidays” Chin added.
