ITE HCMC attracts regional buyers

-

HO CHI MINH CITY, 2 August 2019: A record high of 350 exhibitors have already registered to attend the 15th edition of the ITE HCMC, 5 to 7 September.

Looking ahead the organisers claim as many as 30,000 trade show visitors will attend including 250 international buyers from 40 countries.

First held in 2005, the show will continue to organise two days of B2B networking for international tour operators and two for travel consumers, mainly residents in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year, the event will offer more exhibition space, networking events, and a seminar on corporate travel on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The event has expanded as a regional trade show that promotes two-way trave in the Mekong Region. In addition to 250 international buyers, the show will draw around 50 outbound Vietnamese tour companies and hosted media.

An expansion in low-cost airline services drives a boom in outbound travel from Vietnam to regional destinations, mainly in Southeast Asia and India.

The expansion in outbound travel from Vietnam has attracted exhibitors from China, India, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Seoul, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand.

ITE HCMC will be hosted 5 to 7 September at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC) starting with an opening ceremony an awards gala dinner and networking events for the trade. A corporate travel forum will be held 1400 to 1600 4 September at the SECC.

Endorsed by countries in the Mekong sub-region ITE HCMC is organised by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, VINEXAD Trade Fair & Advertising JSC, and Informa Markets.

It is the only travel event that is endorsed by the Tourism Alliance of all five countries in the Mekong sub-region enjoying the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia; the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lao PDR; the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism, Myanmar; and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Thailand.
