PHNOM PENH, 30 August 2019: Cambodia Angkor Air will start a new service, 27 October, linking Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh with Danang in central Vietnam.
Danang is the closest airport to the ancient port town of Hoi An in central Vietnam designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is also famous for its beach resorts and golf courses.
At the same time, the airline will increase seating capacity on its daily Siem Reap to Danang service by upgrading to an A321 with 150 seats instead of the smaller 70-seat ATR72.
The airline’s current lowest deal on this route is USD89 one-way, valid from the launch date last April through to 31 March 2020.
The new Phnom Penh – Danang route will be served with a five weekly service using an ATR72. Flight are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
According to timetable information provided by Airlineroute the flight will depart Phnom Penh at 1300 and arrive in Danang at 1500. The return flight will depart Danang at 1535 and arrive in Phnom Penh at 1750
The airline has posted a USD88 one-way for the new route with a sale date 17 to 31 August and travel dates 27 October to 31 December.
Around 900,000 Vietnamese visited Cambodia last year with air travellers using the gateways Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and estimated at around 15% of total trips.
