Dates set for Hue Festival

HANOI, 9 August 2019: Promotions are underway to promote the 11th Hue Festival that will be hosted in Vietnam’s former imperial city 1 to 6 April 2020.

First launched in 2000, the festival will be themed “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development” and has already attracted artists from 20 countries.

Some of the participating countries are South Korea, China, Israel, Singapore and the Philippines (Asia), France, Belgium, Russia, England, Italy, Denmark and Hungary (Europe), the U.S., Colombia, Mexico, Haiti, Cuba and Chile (Americas), Australia (Oceania), and Egypt (Africa).

Also scheduled to perform at the festival are national and private art troupes and singers from Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to the cultural performances, the festival will feature a colourful street carnival, Vietnam’s ‘ao dai’ traditional dress show and a food fair.
