Accor announces Raffle expansion

SINGAPORE 1 July 2019: Since acquiring the legendary Raffles brand in 2016.

Accor confirms it will add more Raffles properties following the acquisition of the iconic hotel brand in 2016.

Earlier it announced Maldives Meradhoo and Raffles Shenzhen, as well as upcoming projects including Raffles Udaipur and Raffles Jaipur.

Last week it added two more projects to the pipeline with Raffles Bali set to open in 2020 and Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa Singapore planned for 2022.

With at least four hotels in the development pipeline, the Group will grow the brand by at least 50% in Asia, while planning further properties in Europe, the US and the Middle East including Raffles London in the former War Office, Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences and Raffles Palm360 Resort Hotel & Residences.

Accor now claims it is the second largest operator of luxury hotels in the world, with over 600 luxury and premium hotels and resorts globally.

Founded in Singapore, Raffles has become an iconic collection of 14 timeless properties worldwide, which should reach 20 hotels by 2025. Each Raffles hotel is a special experience: warm and welcoming, generous in spirit and unique to its destination.

Owned by PT Jimbaran Greenhill, Raffles Bali will comprise of 32 villas when it opens in 2020.

Over 135 years after the original Raffles opened, Raffles Sentosa Resort and Spa will be an all-villa hotel set in over 100,000 square metre property facing the South China Sea.

Set to open in 2020, Raffles Udaipur will be the first Raffles for India with 101 suites, while Raffles Jaipur slated to open in 2022 will have just 50 suites.
