THAI to fly to Sendai

-

BANGKOK, 17 June 2019: Thai Airways International has confirmed it will start a new route serving Sendai, Japan, from Bangkok starting 29 October.

Sendai is the commercial capital of Tohoku Region and considered a new destination for Thai tourists.

Announcing the route during the Toyota Tsusho Trade Fair in Bangkok, last week, the airline launched fare discounts to support the new service.

THAI president, Sumeth Damrongchaitham, attended the festival to introduce promotional fares to six destinations in Japan served by the airline. In addition to Sendai, the airline already flies to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.

THAI’s roundtrip promotional fare, Bangkok – Sendai, will start at THB13,420 and at THB12,820 per person when a group of four, or more passengers, book flights on the same booking record. The fare deals include taxes and surcharge fees.

Reservations and tickets must be made by 31 August for travel from 29 October to 20 December 2019.

Sendai is one of the historical cities of Japan as it is the centre of Tohoku region, located 300 km northeast from Tokyo on Honshu Island. Sendai is blessed with its perfect scenery and warm climate.

Sendai, also known as the City of Trees, is beautiful year-round, especially during the change of seasons in the autumn. Apart from Sendai’s famous ‘onsens,’ tourists visit Zuihoden and Osaki Hachimangu shrines while Gyutan is a Sendai must-try menu.

Beginning 29 October 2019, THAI will operate three flights per week, using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft with 30 seats in Royal Silk Class and 279 seats in economy class.
