Sichuan adds Mandalay flight

MANDALAY, 17 June 2019: Mandalay, Myanmar’s second largest city, gained a new air service from China late last week.

Sichuan Airlines started a single weekly service from Hangzhou to Mandalay, 13 June using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

According to Airlineroute’s timetable information the service departs Hangzhou on Thursday at 2045 and arrives in Mandalay 2305. The return flight departs early on Friday morning at 0155 and arrives in Hangzhou at 0655.

Seats on the entire flight will be sold in advance to Chinese tour operators who are offering a seven-day tour of Mandalay and Bagan to the clients.

In February 2018, the airline opened a service from Kunming, capital of China’s Yunnan Province to Mandalay four times a week. The round-trip flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday used an A320.

Other airlines serving Mandalay from China include China Eastern Airlines (MU) China Express Airlines (G5) Juneyao Airlines (HO) Donghai Airlines (DZ) Ruili Airlines (DR). West Air is due to start services soon.
