New direct service to Varanasi

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 June 2019: Malindo Air is accepting bookings for a new service to Varanasi in India due for launch 18 July.

The low-cost airline says it will offer three weekly services on a route popular with travellers seeking to explore India’s religious and heritage.

Varanasi is a holy Hindu city on the banks of the Ganges River but is also visited by Buddhist pilgrims who travel to Gaya to visit the temple of nearby Bodh Gaya where the Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment.

Malindo Air initially intended to launch the direct route last April. Now it has confirmed a July launch with flights departing Kuala Lumpur at 1900 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The fares are likely to start at around USD 290 roundtrip
