Lanmei adds China route

PHNOM PENH, 21 June 2019: Lanmei Airlines will start a new service linking Sihanoukville a port on the Cambodia’s southern coast and Shenyang in China.

The new service is due to launch 25 June using an Airbus A320 for a single flight every Tuesday.

According to Airlineroute information, the flight will depart Sihanoukville at 0100 and will arrive in Shenyang China at 0755.

The return flight will depart Shenyang at 0855 and will arrive in Sihanoukville at 1405.

Although described as a scheduled flight, the airline’s website does not allow bookings locally suggesting the flight is pre-sold to tour operators in Shenyang.

The airline’s booking engine on its websites shows there are booking options from Sihanoukville airport to Tianjin, Guangzhou, Macau, Hong Kong,  Changsha, Nanchang and Zhengzhou in China. No mention of Shenyang appears on the website.

Founded in 2016, Lanmei Airlines is a Chinese-owned low-cost airline registered in Cambodia. It started its first flight on 15 September 2017 out of Phnom Penh its main hub but it also operates a hub out of Siem Reap and is developing a third hub in Sihanoukville.

Shenyang is the capital and largest city of China’s northeast Liaoning Province. It the historical site of the 17th-century Manchu capital Mukden, and the imposing Mukden Palace (Shenyang Imperial Palace) is a blend of Manchurian and Tibetan architectural styles. Mausoleums of Qing dynasty emperors can be found at Zhaoling Tomb, amid the pine forests and lakes of Beiling Park, and at Fuling Tomb in the city’s east. (Wikipedia).
