Agoda badges hotels VIP partner

SINGAPORE, 28 June 2019: Agoda has launched its AgodaVIP programme, a new marketing solution designed to support increased room night sales for its accommodation partners around the world.

The programme will provide better visibility for participating hotels that are keen to target Agoda’s frequent travellers.

It enables participating properties to offer exclusive discounts to Agoda VIP status customers, categorised as VIPs because they have made a minimum of five bookings on Agoda in the past 24 months, and are less inclined to cancel bookings.

Agoda vice president global partner services, Errol Cooke said: “AgodaVIP programme aims to tackle two of the major problems that hoteliers face – high cancellation and increasing competition.

“Our dedicated partner services team continues to help accommodation partners to generate additional revenue and build a strong and loyal customer base at the same time,” he said. 

“During our soft launch phase, our partners have seen improvements in room nights sold, higher visibility and better ranking on the Agoda platform, and booking cancellations falling by around 30%.”

To join the AgodaVIP programme hoteliers need to provide a minimum 15% discount. In return, the hotel partner will receive special VIP badges displayed on their property on both Agoda.com and on the Agoda mobile app.

The badges allow the hotel to be more visible to Agoda’s VIP customers. Headquartered in Singapore, Agoda is part of Booking Holdings (Nasdaq: BKNG) and employs more than 4,000 staff in more than 30 countries.
