Amadeus adds China airport transfers

-

SINGAPORE 16 May 2019: Arriving at an airport in China can be daunting, so when a company devises a solution that eases the pain of negotiating an airport transfer we are all ears.

Amadeus a global distribution channel that allows travel agents to book a variety of travel service is now toting its latest addition; limousine transfers from China’s airports with English-speaking drivers.

Chinese startup Heycars is now integrated into Amadeus Transfers Platform and offers chauffeured vehicles that can be booked in advance by travel agents who subscribe to the online booking service.

Available in 240 airports across 83 countries, Heycars provides travellers with airport-to-hotel or home transfers.

Travellers who do their own bookings can secure an airport transfer with Heycars through Check My Trip, enabling them to skip queues and waiting time at airports and hotels.

Amadeus head of mobility and insurance, Peter Altmann commented: “We have been working with Heycars since 2018 and their content has been integrated with the Amadeus Transfers Platform which brings together airline, hotel, alternative lodging, rail, ground transport and in-destination content all in one place.”

Founded in 2015 with headquarters in Guangzhou Heycars has a fleet of chauffeured vehicles, ranging from an economy five-seater to a luxury sedan, and even a 53-seater coach for larger groups.

Customer service lines are currently available in Chinese, English, French and Japanese.

Heycars is a 2018 graduate of the Amadeus Next start-up programme that offers support in technology building, customer reach and funding referral. Amadeus Next has been running since 2015 and entered in China in 2018.
