BANGKOK, 3 April 2019: Understanding the Chinese outbound tourism market is the theme of a workshop hosted at the PATA Engagement Hub 1 to 2 July in Bangkok.

The workshop will study the diverse market segments of the source market China and the latest social media, social commerce, and online travel trends.

Participants will learn how to design effective influencer marketing campaigns targeting Chinese netizens.

Presentations on China influencer research data from Suantao, the Shenzhen based big data influencer analytic startup will be one of the workshop highlights.

Prof Dr Wolfgang Georg Arlt founder and director of COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute will lead the workshop with  Jason Lin chief of talent at Talent Basket and Julien Delerue general manager of 1000meetings

In its blurb promoting the workshop, PATA said: “Now more than ever, it is critical for tourism boards and industry stakeholders to understand the evolving trends, spending patterns and purchasing behaviours of Chinese tourists in order to adapt their products to attract and maintain a larger and more profitable portion of this market.”
