Luxury Escapes focuses on Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 April 2019: Luxury Escapes an online travel company that specialises in inclusive luxury travel packages has launched a dedicated site for Malaysian travellers – www.luxuryescapes.com/my.

Since launching the brand five years ago, Luxury Escapes claims to have more than 2.6 million members and plans to strengthen its business in Southeast Asia

“We have a growing base of customers in Southeast Asia and Malaysia represents one of our fastest growing markets. Since our soft launch in Malaysia six months ago, we have seen strong adoption of our platform,” said Luxury Escapes head of Asia, Graham Hills.

“Domestic destinations like Langkawi, Penang, Pangkor Laut and international getaways such as Maldives, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore have been most popular among our members in Malaysia.”

It recently initiated campaigns for Danna Langkawi, Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara, Doubletree Resort by Hilton, Penang.

Luxury Escapes offers deals on holidays that include extras such as meals, massages and return airport transfers. 

“By giving VIP inclusions, we are able to able to negotiate the best offers, while driving incremental demand for our partner properties,” added Hills.

This year, the company forecasts 500,000 travellers will book travel with Luxury Escapes. It has dedicated websites in 13 countries including Singapore and Hong Kong.

In 2017, Luxury Escapes launched its Southeast Asian regional headquarters in Singapore and established a regional office in India.

Last year, Luxury Escapes’ parent company, Lux Group, acquired travel businesses, Bon Voyage and Scoopon Travel. This transaction further established Lux Group and Luxury Escapes as leaders in the travel marketplace with over AUD300 million of pro forma turnover.
