Fly for a mango and sticky rice feast

BANGKOK, 5 April 2019: For travellers who love to snack on Thai sweets, Thai Airways International will serve traditional favourites to passengers on flights during the Songkran Festival week.

To celebrate the country’s world famous water festival, 13 to 15 April, the airline will serve traditional Thai sweets on most of its flights internationally and across all cabin classes.

Domestic flights, except for flight TG 226 Phuket-Bangkok, Royal Silk Class the airline will serve Pumpkin Coconut Pudding to its Royal Silk Class passengers on inbound flights and Mango Sticky Rice with Cake on outbound flights.

Economy Class passengers will be served Crispy Jelly, a popular Thai dessert but the prospect of mango sticky rice might encourage a few requests for an upgrade.

International flights, except for flights routed to the Middle East, India, and Kuala Lumpur: Royal First passengers will be served Fresh Mango and Sticky Rice with Anchan Coconut Sauce.

Royal Silk Class passengers will be served Mango and Sago Pudding with Coconut and Fresh Mango. Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers will enjoy Pandan Sticky Rice with Mango Mousse and Coconut Cream.

All of the deserts are widely available at food markets and street food stalls across the country but hats off to the airline for extending the holiday treat to the flights to and from home.
