Double appointments at DoubleTree

BANGKOK, 24 April 23 2019: DoubleTree by Hilton announced key appointments for two properties in Thailand due to open in in the third quarter of this year.

The appointments are for the 290-room DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort at Patong Beach and the 251-room DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit.

“As we appoint the general managers and commercial directors at the two upcoming properties in Thailand, I am confident they will help bring the brand’s outstanding hospitality to life for guests travelling for work, pleasure or something in between,” said Peter Webster, regional general manager, Hilton, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. “These appointments underscore Hilton’s commitment to creating great careers and developing the best talent in the company to grow our exceptional hotel portfolio.”

The group named Tim Tate as general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort.

An Australian, Tate has more than 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Having worked in Thailand, Vietnam and the Maldives, he was most recently director of operations of Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa.

Nitin Narayanan has been named commercial director at DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort.

The group named Jean-Philippe De Haes as general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit.

With 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he was most recently general manager of Hilton Garden Inn Bali Ngurah Rai Airport.

Srisuda Saeng-Arun has been named commercial director of the Bangkok property. Srisuda was most recently the e-commerce and revenue manager of Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
