PHNOM PENH, 25 April 2019: JC Cambodia International confirms it will start to a new international route linking Sihanoukville, a Cambodia’s coastal port and resort town with a key tourist gateway Bangkok.
The new Sihanoukville-Bangkok service using a 180-seat A320 is due to start 27 April with three weekly flights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
According to Airlineroute timetable information, the service will depart Sihanoukville 1710 and arrive in Bangkok 1830. The return flight will depart Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport 1930 and arrive in Sihanoukville 2045.
The airline stated in its latest update that flights to Bangkok would increase to four a week with the additional flight scheduled for Tuesday.
A check of the airline’s website shows the route is open for bookings with a one-way fare of USD50.
Last week, 17 April, the airline launched a three weekly service from Sihanoukville to Macau with flights departing on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Fares are high at USD310 one-way according to the airline’s booking site.
The flight departs Sihanoukville at 1340 and arrives in Macau 1740. The return flight departs 1840 and arrives in Sihanoukville 2050.
Apart from beach resorts in town and in coastal suburbs the port city is famous for its casinos and is also a gateway to explore offshore islands and resorts along the coast that extend to the border with Vietnam.
JC International Airlines, registered in 2014 is home-based in Phnom Penh International Airport.
Funded by Yunnan province’s Jingcheng Group, with a registered capital of USD50 million, JC International Airlines operates a fleet of five A320s. It launched its inaugural service on the Siem Reap-Macau route on 17 March 2017.
