CHIANG MAI, 14 March 2019: Thai Vietjet is promoting Chiang Mai’s latest attraction Hinoki Land a Japanese-style tourist park where visitors can make-believe they are in a traditional setting in Tokyo.
Spread over 83 rai of land the theme park sports replicas of Japanese temples set in manicured gardens where Bangkok residents can dress up in Japanese traditional attire for a selfie photo session.
Vietjet is promoting a cheap one-way fare of THB490 on the Bangkok-Chiang Mai and recommends an outing to Hinoko Land.

The low-fare is up for grabs until 19 March for travel through to 26 March only.
The lead-in fare covers all taxes, fees and credit card add-ons.
If you need a quote from the airline on why it is promoting Hinoki Land it’s for Thai travellers who missed out on a visit to Japan in real life. If Tokyo is beyond the budget then why not console yourself with a trip to make-believe Japan in Chiang Mai?
Opened last October, Hinoki Land is located in the northern city’s Chai Prakan district and is distinguished by its giant red lanterns and replicas of Asakusa Temple in Tokyo, copies of heritage buildings in Kyoto and the four-floor Hinoki Castle, the main backdrop for those inevitable selfie shots.
The park even hires out Japanese national costumes for the photo shoots, too.
A dual pricing policy spoils this attraction for foreigners who will have to part with a TH230 entrance fee compared with THB180 for Thai visitors.
Fortunately you can grab the cheap fare on Thai Vietjet at THB490 one-way without having to shell out on a phoney experience in a fake Japan setting.
