Thai Vietjet daily to Dalat

-

CHIANG RAI, 18 March 2019: Thai Vietjet upgrades its direct service from Bangkok to Dalat in Vietnam to daily and offers a promotional fare of THB1,579 one-way (USD50).

Travellers save around USD80 when compared with Thai Vietjet’s best offer of USD181 on skyscanner for a roundtrip fare.

Thai Vietjet’s promotional offers, that often claim to be free (base fare), are notoriously difficult to buy. They often come with very short booking windows, promotions limited to Facebook fast rotating posts and even lunch time booking windows whittled down to just two hours 1200 to 1400.

The direct flight takes one hour and 45 minutes to Dalat compared with four hours and 20 when flying connecting services via Ho Chi Minh City. The roundtrip fare on Vietnam Airlines with one stop costs USD234, while Thai Vietjet’s direct flight usually sells at USD181 return.

The airline currently serves the route with five weekly flights, but effective 9 April it adds two flights on Tuesday and Thursday to offer daily services to Dalat.

The one-way promotional fare of THB1,579 is inclusive of taxes and credit card fees. Extras include, insurance, seat selection, checked baggage and meals.

Plugging the destination for its year-round cool weather, Dalat’s hill country is served by daily flights.

The fare is valid for travel up to March 2020, but the booking period ends this week.

Vietjet is the only airline offering a direct service from Bangkok shortening the travel time considerable and ending the need to buy connecting tickets with surcharges on checked baggage and seat selection calculated on each sector.

The airline introduced the Dalat service from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport last December, just days before Dalat opened its International Flower Festival that attracts thousands of visitors.

Thai Vietjet Group operates six direct routes between Thailand and Vietnam comprising of Bangkok to Hanoi, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dalat as well as from Phuket and Chiang Mai to Ho Chi Minh City.
