Ready steady chase a zero fare

-

SINGAPORE, 21 March 2019: To celebrate the launch of three new routes to and from Can Tho, in Vietnam, Vietjet rolled out another flash sale that will offload 1.4 million zero-cost* tickets by 22 March.

The three new routes, Can Tho – Hai Phong, Can Tho – Vinh and Can Tho – Thanh Hoa, will operate from 26 April.

If successful, the three-day sale (20 to 22 March) will see the airline generating 467,000 fare bookings daily all within the space of just two hours.

That’s a colossal volume of tickets to unload especially when the booking window is slimmed down to just 1300 to 1500 (GMT+8) time.

But invariably the airline’s website messages on fare availability suggests the entire fare stock floated for these regular promotions is snapped up on the first day.

Under the deal, the zero-cost tickets do require an outlay to cover taxes, credit card and booking fees.

The promotion applies to all domestic routes in Vietnam, with tickets valid for travel between 21 May 2019 to 31 December 2019**.

The airline also confirmed it will open two more routes from Can Tho to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province) and Dalat (Lam Dong province) this May, which will establish Vietjet as the airline with the most routes to Can Tho, the capital city of the Mekong Delta area.

The Can Tho – Hai Phong route will be served by daily flights, Can Tho – Vinh by four flights weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) and Can Tho – Thanh Hoa by three flights weekly (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).

(*) Excluding taxes and fees.

(**) Excluding national holidays
