Fusion names VP Operations

HO CHI MINH CITY, 20 March 2019: Fusion has hired Samir Wildemann as the hospitality group’s vice president of operations.

Vietnam-based Fusion Hospitality is planning to open new properties in the next two years in Saigon, Vung Tau, and a new resort in Quang Binh.

It recently completed expansion projects at two existing resorts in Phu Quoc and Cam Ranh ahead of hiring Wildemann to help improve the guest experience at all Fusion properties.

A German national, Wildemann was general manager and senior vice president for Southeast Asia at Siam Kempinski Hotel, a position he held for three years.

He also worked as a corporate executive officer at Okura Hotels & Resorts and opened the Okura Prestige Bangkok and later Carlson Rezidor Bangkok.

Wildemann started his hotel career with Le Méridien taking on his first senior hotel management role with the group in Singapore.
