Tracking business travellers

-

LONDON, 25 February 2019:  Egencia, the business travel side of Expedia Group, introduced new customers services and updates to its Apps at the Business Travel Show in London last week.

Hotel Conversations enables two-way communication between business travellers and their hotel.

Business travellers now have the flexibility to ask questions, confirm details, and share updated travel plans at any step of their journey through the Egencia app.

For example, it allows them to as for a late check-in in real time when a flight is delayed. Hoteliers can proactively contact their guests, sending a welcome message or offer additional services ahead of arrival.

Egencia’s new Air and Hotel packages feature selects a packaged air and hotel deal, allowing companies to benefit from a lower overall trip cost while business travellers unlock access to more top-rated hotels that may otherwise be out of policy.

Duty-of-care issues are addressed with an updated Egencia Traveller Tracker that instantly tracks the location of employees and support travellers during unforeseen situations.

Now the latest update includes the option to search a larger geographic area through region search. With this new feature, travel managers can simply draw a circle or square over the online map to see if any of their employees are in an area showing severe weather conditions or impacted by a political or security crisis.
