THAI’s Europe flights back to normal

BANGKOK, 28 February 2019: Thai Airways International has resumed all flights to Europe bypassing Pakistan’s air space.

It was forced to cancel flights to Pakistan and services to Europe that overflew Pakistan air space, 27 February, following hostilities between Pakistan and India’s military in and around disputed territory bordering Kashmir.

In a statement released midday 28 February, THAI confirmed normal flight operations to Europe resumed using China’s air space.  Flights to Pakistan had not resumed when this report was posted.

Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, THAI vice president, aviation safety, security and standards department, said the airline had received permission from authorities to operate flights on a path using China’s airspace.

THAI’s flights from Bangkok to Europe operating on normal schedules:

Night-time flights Friday, as of 28 February and 1 March 2019 depart on schedule:

  • Flight TG910/ Bangkok-London
  • Flight TG924/ Bangkok-Munich
  • Flight TG930/ Bangkok-Paris
  • Flight TG934/ Bangkok-Brussels
  • Flight TG944/ Bangkok-Milan
  • Flight TG936/ Bangkok-Vienna
  • Flight TG960/ Bangkok-Stockholm
  • Flight TG970/ Bangkok-Zurich
  • Flight TG950/ Bangkok-Copenhagen
  • Flight TG954/ Bangkok-Oslo

THAI will operate flights TG507 and TG508 between Bangkok and Muscat but will not make a stopover in Karachi. 

THAI cancelled flights TG345 and TG346 between Bangkok and Lahore 28 February. Further announcements will be made on the status of flights to Pakistan.
