Six Senses sold to IHG

BANGKOK, 14 February 2019: Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is now part of the IHG family of brands.

IHG purchased the hospitality and wellness company from private equity fund Pegasus Capital Advisors for USD300 million.

The sale includes the management of 16 hotels and resorts, 37 spas and sister companies Evason and Raison d’Etre.

Following the acquisition Six Senses is expected to expand to 60 hotels over the next 10 years. It currently has a presence in 21 countries.

Six Senses is scheduled to open properties in various locations in Asia such as Krabey Island in Cambodia, a circuit of five lodges in Bhutan and a property in Rajasthan.

Additional projects are currently under way in Austria, Brazil, Mainland China, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.
