Away heads for Bali

DENPARSAR, 13 February 2019: Nilamani Hotels has signed a lease agreement with Flight Centre Travel Group’s subsidiary, BHMA Hotels and Resorts, to rebrand Camakila Legian Bali.

The Legian property, comprising 117 rooms will be rebranded as Away Bali Legian Camakila, the first Away branded property outside of Thailand.

“This strategic long term agreement allows us to focus on our core passion as hotel developers,” said Nilamani Hotels executive vice president Javier Salgado. “With the expertise and commercial strength of Flight Centre and BHMA, will be able to unleash new potentials and opportunities as Away Bali Legian Camakila.”

Nilamani’s asset portfolio will reach over 800 hotel rooms in the near future with three more hotel projects in the pipeline. The expansion starts with two brand-new beachfront hotels in Legian, Bali, set to open in at the end of this year and in 2021.

Another hotel development in a “triple-A location in Jakarta CBD” will be completed in 2021, while the group is looking for an investment partner to transform a l2.4 hectare site in Bali into a mixed-use development.

Nilamani Hotels manages other properties in Bali such as the 261-room Sakala Resort Bali, Sakala Beach Club, and the 189-room Tanjung Benoa Beach Resort
