Amansara closes for facelift 15 June to 31 July

-

SIEAM REAP, 7 February 2019: Amansara has officially announced it will close its doors temporarily for a three-month upgrade.

The management forwarded a notice to all inbound tour operators stating it would close for a six-week renovation, 15 June to 31 July*.

Asian Trails, in its news update to partners, said it was a “bid to maintain its position as one of the leading hideaways in Siem Reap.”

Amansara said its reservations and sales department would remain open during office hours for the entire period.

“Housed around elegant central lawns of the former guesthouse estate of King Norodom Sihanouk, Amansara’s 24 suites feature subtle Khmer touches such as sandstone reliefs that duplicate the ruins of nearby Angkor.”

It is best known for its signature Aman Spa and an award-winning restaurant.

The property is part of an Asian Trails  “Exquisite Experiences across Asia” travel activity and during the renovations an alternative programme will be arranged.  The popular local food exploration, jointly hosted with the Amansara, is on hold until after the renovation.

*This report was updated 18 February to correct the closing date period which is for six weeks from 15 June to 31 July.
