Airlines adjust routes for summer

BANGKOK, 20 February 2019: Emirates makes changes to its flights to Yangon in Myanmar and to Phnom Penh, Cambodia for the summer timetable.

The airline will reduce flights between Dubai and Yangon from daily to four weekly that will see the flights turnaround in Yangon and return directly to Dubai.

Previously the service to Yangon continued to Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

The Yangon services will operate out of Dubai using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Effective 1 June, flights to Phnom Penh will be routed via Bangkok with one of five daily services to the Thai capital from Dubai flying on to Phnom Penh.

The daily service will use a Boeing 777 that will depart Dubai at 0845, land in Bangkok at 1815 and arrive in Phnom Penh at 2125.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways confirmed summer timetable changes for its Bangkok aircraft on the Doha – Bangkok route, effective 2 May.

It will see one of its seven daily services using an Airbus A330-200 instead of the A340-600, until the end of the summer timetable, 26 October.

The airline will also reduce frequencies on the Doha-Bangkok route to five daily services in May and June down from seven.
