Sarawak outlines 2019 priorities

KUCHING, 14 January 20129: Sarawak Tourism Board released details, last week, of its ‘Marketing Initiatives for 2019’ identifying priorities and various trade events it intends to focus on during the year.

Looking ahead STB said focus markets include domestic, regional (Southeast Asia), Europe, China and Australia,

According to the outline presented in its Hornbill Trail newsletter, distributed to a worldwide travel trade audience, the board will concentrate on consumer and trade shows in the specified markets.

In addition, Sarawak will host its own trade or roadshows in certain markets such as the Sarawak Expo, consumer fair, which will be held this November in Indonesia.

In Singapore, a two-part “Singapore Business Networking Session” will take place this April and again in October to encourage new business connections between Sarawak and Singapore’s industry partners.

STB will also be holding a Sarawak Tourism Roadshow in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with a B2B format.

A two-part Sarawak Tourism Seminar in collaboration with AirAsia will take place in South China scheduled for March and October.

STB encourages international trade partners to attend the various trade and consumer fairs and roadshows in this year, to form new business ventures, promote Sarawak’s attractions and products worldwide.
