Dusit extends footprint

MANILA, 4 January 2019: Dusit International confirmed it has taken over the management of the Beach Club located on the Lubi Plantation Island, effective last week, while two other hotels in nearby Davao City are due to join the group this April.

The Beach Club is part of an island retreat located in Davao Gulf, Philippines, which is also the site of a 36-hectare leisure township that is under development.

Owned by Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation, The Beach Club, at Lubi Plantation Island, is the first of three hotels that will be managed by Dusit International. The other two hotels – dusitD2 Davao and Dusit Thani Residence Davao – are located in the heart of Davao City, a 30-minutes boat ride from the Beach Club.

Slated to open in February, this year, dusitD2 Davao hotel will feature 120 rooms and suites. Dusit Thani Residence Davao hotel, with 178 rooms, on a site adjacent to the dusitD2 property, will open in April 2019.

Meanwhile the Thai hotel group announced it would  manage a new hot springs resort currently under construction in Tengchong, Yunnan province, China.

To be branded Dusit Devarana Hot Springs Resort Tengchong, Yunnan, the 150-key property is slated to open in 2021.

Located the western part of Yunnan province, Tengchong is noted for its hot springs, volcanoes and ancient buildings.
