Bangkok Airways adds A319

BANGKOK 25 January:  Bangkok Airways took delivery of a new Airbus A319 at Suvarnabhumi Airport last week, the airline’s 40th aircraft.

The A319 comes with 144 economy class seats, smaller than the A320. It will serve routes such as Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui, Krabi and also to neighbouring destinations in Myanmar (Yangon, Mandalay), Cambodia (Siem Reap, Phnom Penh), India (Mumbai) and Vietnam (Danang).

This includes the city of Cam Ranh that is the airline’s latest route due to start 25 January.

Currently, Bangkok Airways’ fleet consists of four ATR 72-500s, 11 ATR 72-600s, and 16 Airbus A319s and 9 Airbus A320s.
