BANGKOK, 17 January 2019: Asian Trails Thailand has appointed Johann Aigner as its new MICE manager.
He will head the company’s Thailand sales team concentrating on the events business often called MICE – Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions.
The appointment will strengthen the team’s position and compliment sales activities led by assistant MICE manager Suriwipa ‘Gift’ Dalliston.
Aigner comes from organising sporting events in the Australian Outback. He turned his passion for events into a profession in his home country of Austria, from where he created, organised and delivered large-scale events for clients from Europe and the Middle East.
He has been resident in Southeast Asia since 2015 and has worked as a MICE Manager for various leading DMCs.
Commenting on the appointment, Asian Trails Thailand managing director, Yves Van Kerrebroeck said: “We are confident this appointment will further strengthen our position as one of the leading DMCs in the region, not only on the leisure segment, but also when it comes to highly customised and professional MICE services.”
