Air Italy’s Bangkok flights up in the air

-

BANGKOK, 22 January 2019: Air Italy has removed its Milan Malpensa – Bangkok service from its advance summer 2019 timetable, based on a check of its booking website this week.

During the winter season timetable, November 2018 to March 2019, the airline offered five flights weekly.

The airline is currently flying to Bangkok on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Flights depart Milan at 1855 and 1445 depending on the day and arrive in Bangkok on the following morning at 0650 or 1100.

The airline uses a 252-seat Airbus A330-200 on the route.

A subsidiary of AQA Holding, Air Italy is owned by Alisarda (51%) and Qatar Airways (49%) and serves 34 destinations with 16 aircraft in its fleet

It’s Bangkok service, the first flight to a destination in Southeast Asia, was widely promoted when it launched last November, but now it appears to have been withdrawn at least for the summer months April to October.

A check of the airline’s booking website, provides no information on the Bangkok services after 31 March, and attempts to book flights in April, or on later dates failed. The booking calendar was not active for requests after 31 March.
