Norwegian boosts international team

SINGAPORE, 12 December 2018: Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, a global cruise company, has announced key appointments for its international leadership team.

The company operates Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

In its announcement, Tuesday, the company confirmed the appointment of Harry Sommer as president, international.

It also listed other appointments including Isis Ruiz as senior vice president, international marketing & public relations, Sally-Anne Beasley, vice president passenger services, and Todd Hamilton, vice president commercial and business planning international.

Sommer is responsible for sales, marketing, public relations and office operations for Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises in all markets outside the United States and Canada. 

He will continue to report to the company’s president and chief executive officer, Frank Del Rio.

A 25-year cruise industry veteran, Sommer joined Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in 2000 and re-joined in 2008, serving in various executive capacities, including most recently as executive vice president of international business development. During this time, he opened 13 offices globally, including most recently Auckland, New Zealand and Tel Aviv, Israel.

Additional leadership promotions to the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings international division include, Ruiz, as senior vice president, international marketing & public relations.

Based in the company’s Southampton, UK offices, Sally-Anne Beasley has been named vice president passenger services and will head the service-focused areas of operations.

As vice president commercial and business planning international, Todd Hamilton, will be responsible for commercial planning, business analysis, and business operations for the entire international organisation. Ruiz, Beasley and Hamilton will all report directly to Sommer.
