Subject to regulatory approval, the Delhi route will muster four weekly flights using a Boeing 777 and marks the airline’s first route to South Asia.

NokScoot is a joint venture between two low-cost airlines; Thailand’s Nok Air and Singapore’s Scoot.

NokScoot forecasts strong demand on the Delhi route mainly Indian tourists visiting Thailand, but holiday traffic to India from Thailand and neighbouring countries is also on the increase.

Following the launch of the New Delhi service, NokScoot plans to further spread its wings in India with another destination due for launch in 2019, the CEO explained.
