Centara cements management deal in Laos

-

BANGKOK, 7 December 2018: Centara Hotels and Resorts and its partner AIDC Laos have signed off on a hotel management agreement for three hotels in Laos.

It follows on from the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, last September, between the international hotel group and Asia Investment, Development & Construction Sole Co Ltd, based in Vientiane Laos.

The management contract is for three hotels with a total of 216 rooms.

Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer, Centara Hotels & Resorts (third from right) and Pheutsapha Phoummasak, President of Asia Investment, Development & Construction Sole Co Ltd (third from left) sign Hotel Management Agreement for three hotels in Laos.

In the UNESCO World Heritage site of Luang Prabang, the agreement gives Centara management of an upper-upscale Centara Grand Luang Prabang and midscale Centra by Centara property, both near the town centre.

The third property in Vientiane will be under Centara’s new lifestyle brand, COSI, catering to the growing segment of connected, freedom-loving travellers.

This latest development will see Centara’s hotel count in Laos reach four with Centara Plumeria Resort Pakse already well under development and scheduled to open in 2020.
