NokScoot increases Osaka flights

-

BANGKOK, 22 November 2018: NokScoot is ramping up its recently launched Bangkok-Osaka services to six flights weekly starting 2 February 2019.

The Bangkok-based low-cost carrier commenced four weekly flights from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport to Osaka’s Kansai International Airport 28 October.

Reservations for the additional two weekly flights opened Wednesday.

The additional flights, are a response to strong demand on the route and part of NokScoot’s ongoing expansion, which will see an increase in frequencies on existing routes and the introduction of more destinations in Japan, according to NokScoot CEO Yodchai Sudhidhanakul.

The expansion follows the airline’s debut in Japan 1 June, when it launched daily services on the Bangkok Don Mueang–Tokyo (Narita) route.

The two additional Bangkok-Osaka flights are on Thursday and Saturday and will continue to be served by Boeing 777-200 wide-body jet, configured with 415 seats.

Yodchai noted that NokScoot intends to boost the frequencies on Bangkok-Osaka route to a daily basis later next year once regulatory approval is secured.

NokScoot, a joint venture between Thailand’s Nok Air and Scoot of Singapore, is gearing up expansion to offer services to South Korea and India, in addition to China, where NokScoot already has an extensive network.
