Centara Q Resort Rayong

-

BANGKOK, 9 November 2018:  A leading hospitality group in Asia, Centara Hotels & Resorts introduces its latest resort in Rayong province on Thailand’s eastern seaboard.

Centara Q Resort Rayong is positioned as a beachfront boutique resort at an emerging coastal destination often termed one of Thailand’s hidden gems.

Located on the country’s eastern seaboard, just a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok, Rayong is a traditional coastal community that is blissfully removed from the tourist crowds associated with Pattaya and Phuket.

Centara Q Resort Rayong enjoys tropical surroundings, including unspoiled countryside, beaches and offshore islands in the Gulf of Thailand.

“Centara Q Resort Rayong is a seafront retreat with just 41 rooms, all of which are bright, spacious and offer stunning sea views from a private balcony or terrace,” said, Centara Hotels & Resorts vice president brand, marketing & digital, Tom Thrussell.

“With direct access to peaceful Laem Mae Phim Beach, the resort is a haven for relaxation or recreation, including kayaking and windsurfing,” he added.

At the hotel, guests can chill out at the beachfront swimming pool, work out in the fitness centre, or enjoy a spa at the Cense by SPA Cenvaree. There is also an E-Zone for teenagers, mountain bike hire, and a choice of day trips to a sea turtle farm and local markets.

For meeting planners, the Quorum event space can host up to 90 delegates, making it ideal for corporate retreats and team-building sessions.

“With its golden beaches, pure seas, and beautiful countryside, Rayong has incredible potential as a destination for domestic and international visitors. The city is a centre of seafood and famous for various kinds of tropical fruits,” said the resort’s general manager, Wassana Pokthang.

Rayong province is a popular destination for Thai travellers, especially Bangkok residents seeking a convenient destination for weekend break.

Many visitors to the province however, head straight to Samet island rather than experiencing the charms of mainland Rayong.

Those who do opt for the mainland coastal resorts are treated to a captivating coastal community that is authentic, plus there are long stretches of quiet coastline, fruit orchards, fresh seafood, forests and traditional towns and villages.

Located approximately 180km from Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi Airport, Rayong is easily accessible, making it ideal for standalone beach breaks or two-centre vacations combined with a stay in the Thai capital. It is also less than 40 km from U-Tapao Airport, the fast-emerging international gateway to Thailand’s eastern seaboard.
