SINGAPORE, 1 November 2018: More than 1,600 hotels and accommodation partners from 33 markets, worldwide, gained Agoda’s 2018 Gold Circle Awards.
The Gold Circle Awards, now in their 10th year, recognise elite service, high scoring peer-to-peer customer reviews from the 22 million reviews on Agoda, as well as excellence in pricing and availability.
Of the 1,642 Gold Circle Award winners, 1,090 are recognised for the first time, including, Tintswalo Safari Lodge (South Africa), the first winner to hit a perfect score of 10 in their first Gold Circle Award win.
Forty three of the winning hotel partners won the accolade for four years in a row. Sri Panwa Phuket Luxury Pool Villa Hotel in Thailand and Rhombus Park Aura Chengdu, in China, are two five-star properties that made the shortlist four years in a row and have secured the highest review scores in their category.
This year, Thailand tops the market league table with 241 hotels in the Agoda awards list, followed by Japan with 230 and 150 in China .

Increasingly in this digital age, customers rely on reviews when making decisions about where to stay, so it’s very important that our Gold Circle Awards criteria reflects this,” said Agoda vice president partner services, Errol Cooke.
Travellers who book properties with the Gold Circle Awards icon are assured of the property’s exceptional service, quality and value, according to the Agoda statement.
Gold Circle Awards ceremonies will take place in over 30 locations worldwide through to the end of December.
