STB revokes Vertical Line licence

-

SINGAPORE 1 October 2018: The Singapore Tourism Board revoked Vertical Line Pte Ltd’s travel agency licence (016560) last week.

Annulment was based on the Singapore Travel Agents Act (Chapter 334).

The STB statement said Vertical Line had ceased to carry out the business of a travel agent.

According to the STB statement, the company began the process of liquidation, 29 June 2018.

Its registered office was located at 3 Soon Lee Street Singapore 627606.

The company’s website opens as “fastermytrip.com” with no reference to the STB revocation on the website homepage. Its Facebook page, source of the photo for this report, was last updated in 2014.

STB is the only national tourist office in ASEAN that identifies clearly the status of all registered travel agencies for consumers or trade to check for their own protection.

This includes new registrations, those that have lapsed and travel agencies that infringe regulations or lose their licences.
