SINGAPORE, 18 October 2018: A strong sales team from the Sarawak Tourism Board, six travel agencies, travel content owners and hoteliers are attending ITB Asia this week.

Representatives from STB told TTR Weekly the state benefitted this year from an increase in direct flights from ASEAN and also China.

STB officials said they were emphasising to tour operators the added value of booking clients when the state hosts cultural, sports or musical festivals.

At the end of this month visitors from Asia will descend on Kuching’s famous waterfront to watch the Sarawak International Dragon Boat Race
