Jetstar boosts flights Danang-Taipei

-

HO CHI MINH CITY, 30 October 2018: Jetstar Pacific increases flights between Danang and Taipei to five a week starting 31 October.

The fights will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The airline is currently selling a roundtrip fare at USD170 on the route.

According to the airline’s announcement flights will depart from Danang at 1100, while flights from Taipei to Danang will depart at 1540. Flight time is two hours and 35 minutes.

Jetstar Pacific has been offering a three weekly service on the route since 2016.

It’s the only Vietnamese airline offering a direct service from Danang to Taipei. The alternatives are one-stop services on either Vietnam Airlines, or Vietjet, with a change of plane in Hanoi, or Ho Chi Minih City. Travel time is a hefty eight to nine hours.

The airline claims it has flown around 100,000 passengers between the two cities since then.

Last year, Vietnam welcomed  610,000 Taiwanese visitors, while more than 380,000 Vietnamese travellers visited Taiwan.

More than 1.6 million foreign visitors have visited Danang in the first half of this year, up 47.1%.
