Smiling Albino signs luxury villas

-

CHIANG RAI, 3 September 2018: Pa Sak Tong, a private luxury villa estate, has signed an exclusive sales agreement with Smiling Albino, a regional luxury destination management company.

Pa Sak Tong, a secluded luxury estate in Chiang Rai, located near the popular Singha Park, features two luxury villas; Pa Sak Tong a 650 sqm three-bedroom villa and the 2,370 sqm Khum Sak Tong six-bedroom villa.

Effective immediately, Smiling Albino is now Pa Sak Tong’s exclusive agent issuing contracts and taking reservations for the two luxury villas.

Smiling Albino’s business development manager, Stephanie Rowe, said in the company’s press release last Friday: “Smiling Albino has enjoyed a close relationship with Pa Sak Tong for over six years now… It makes sense for our team, with its expertise in the niche luxury travel industry, to handle bookings for Pa Sak Tong.”

All existing contracts remain valid, but reservations and inquiries can now be made through Smiling Albino.

“As always, Pa Sak Tong and Khum Sak Tong’s inclusive packages offer good comparative value. Smiling Albino will continue to offer attractive rates to incentivise B2B partners,” said Rowe.

Asked for a comment Pa Sak Tong’s managing director, John Dunbar, told TTR Weekly the private estate has been working with Smiling Albino for seven years.

“They have outsold any other competitor by 20-1. They get our product out and understand our market so bringing us together makes a lot of sense.”

Pa Sak Tong will continue manage existing OTA contracts for the remainder of this year, along with B2C channels.

However, Smiling Albino’s product manager, Andrew Clark, said there would be another announcement next year on distribution and sales for Pa Sak Tong.

Dunbar added: “OTA’s will not lose out on pricing in any way, while Smiling Albino gets a better rate” (B2B channel).

“As I don’t have to worry about contracting anymore… Smiling Albino will handle this, so I can focus on other areas of promotion.”

Pa Sak Tong competes head-on with just two other luxury properties in Chiang Rai; Four Seasons and Anantara. Dunbar insists the Pa Sak Tong experience is entirely different offering guests exclusive privacy that extends to the entire estate, not just a room, or tented accommodation.  It is also much closer to Chiang Rai town being just a 20-km transfer from the town’s airport compared with 90 minutes to Four Seasons and Anantara.

Pa Sak Tong has two villas in the massive estate that boasts its own paddy fields, organic gardens and the only heated swimming pools in North Thailand. (Average temperatures are 15 degree centigrade in cool season months.)

The three-bedroom Pa Sak Tong Villa spreads out over 650 sqm and rents at THB58,000 a night for two guests including private dining. A group of six guests pay THB80,000

In comparison a night at Four Season’s Tented Camp costs a couple THB106,000 for 54 sqm of space and at the Anantara (32 sqm) a couple pays THB40,300.

The 2,370 sqm six-bedroom Khun Sa Tong Villa can accommodate up to 12 guests at a daily rental of THB305 000 for the group including private dining.
