Cebu ups seat capacity on HCMC flight

-

MANILA, 3 August 2018: Cebu Pacific has upgraded some of it service on its popular Manila-Ho Chi Minh City route from the smaller A320s to the latest version of the A321, effective 1 August.

The airline took delivery of its first A321 in March as part of a 39-aircraft order for the newest Airbus plane. The aircraft is fitted with 230 seats, 50 more than the 180-seat A320.

This is mainly due to the installation of lighter and more compact Recaro seats in the new aircraft.

The airline serves the route between the Philippine capital Manila and the southern Vietnamese commercial and tourism hub of Ho Chi Minh City with 10 flights weekly.

Three of the services that depart Manila at 1935 on Monday Wednesday and Friday will now be served by the larger A321.

The daily service that departs Manila at 2245 will continue to be served by A320s, according to Airlineroute information.

The Philippines’ carrier Cebu Pacific received the first of its 39 Airbus A321 aircraft in March.

The single-aisle jetliner is fitted with SL3510 economy class seats from Recaro. The seats are ergonomically designed, with an angled backrest. Its design allows for more distance and legroom between seat rows. Each seat is also equipped with USB slot so that passengers may charge their devices inflight.

The first seven deliveries in 2018 are A321CEO, while the 32 A321NEO will be delivered starting late 2018 and continuing through 2022.
