BANGKOK, 11 July 2018: Onyx Hospitality Group has appointed Michael Gaehler as general manager of Oriental Residence Bangkok.
Prior to his appointment at Oriental Residence, Gaehler was group general manager for special projects at Regent Hotels and Resorts in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
He also oversaw Regent Hotels’ projects in Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia and China.
Gaehler began his hotel career in his native country, Switzerland and after assignments in various hotels in Europe he moved to Asia.
He has worked as a general manager in pre-opening roles and running hotels in Hong Kong, North Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia and China.
