Vietjet opens sales for Osaka flight

SINGAPORE, 7 June 2018: Vietjet, will launch a direct flight connecting Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital with Osaka in Japan) 8 November with ticket sales opening this week.

A special ceremony to announce the new route was held at the Japan-Vietnam Economic Forum in Tokyo with Vietnam’s President Tran Dai Quang and Japanese government’s representatives, and officials from both countries, joining representatives of Vietjet.

Using Vietjet’s latest A320 aircraft, the Hanoi-Osaka route with be served by daily flights with an average flight time of four hours per sector.

The flight will depart from Hanoi at 0145 and arrive at Osaka at 0750. The return leg will depart at 0920 and arrive at Hanoi at 1310.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietjet’s Vice President, Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh said: “The Hanoi-Osaka route marks the first service for Vietjet’s expansion into Japan, and we will continue to open new routes connecting Vietnam and Japan’s economic and tourism hubs.”

Last year, the airline joined hands with Japanese travel agencies to operate direct-charter flights from Vietnam to Osaka as well as Narita, Sendai, Nagoya, Ibaraki and Fukushima.

Once the new service is established the airline will serve 45 international destinations

Ticket sales for the new route will open 8 June.
